So many potential suspects…and victims. Almost every interview leads to more names and people who needed to be located to be interviewed for corroboration and/or tested as potential suspects. I feel like this case is like peeling away the layers of an onion.
Perhaps I missed the connection between the Detroit Pedo ring and Busch (and maybe there isn’t one) but how did the Task Force decide finally decide to narrow in on Busch/Greene despite the Moore/Lawson/Lamborgine info?
MJ, I think what happened is that LE could not break Lamborgine. During the Lawson/Lamborgine investigation LE were not aware of the names Chris Busch or Greg Greene (although they were buried deep in the task force files). Arch Sloan is not mentioned in these pages. LE just had to move on. None of these fuckers is talking. “I can’t remember.” “I don’t recall.”
On page 89, a victim comes forward after he sees Lamborgine’s photo on the news in December 2006. He was 14. We see his name again when Busch surfaces again. He was a victim of Busch (criminal charges filed) and told police he was used as a lure by Busch and Greene. There are three victims who became lures who connect up Shelden and Richards, Busch and Greene, and Lamborgine and the Cass Corridor rapists.

Cathy,I finally learned why Ted Lamborgine was in Michigan so much.His mother lived in Redford. A few questions:
1) Are there any photos of Ted Orr during the OCCK time period or “back in the the day”?
2) Also, of the cars mentioned with these suspects back in 1977, how many of them had DR78-14 tires which were found at Tim’s drop-off site?
3) Which suspects had blue eyes?The color version of the drawings from the video recently shown in a thread below showed the suspect with blue eyes in the various sketches By the way, I don’t think the one where the sketch shows the beard is Chris Bush. His face is way too thin. FYI-John Hastings has blue eyes.
4) Do you have any upcoming documents regarding Arch Sloan? We know that Kristine’s hair was found in his car along with Gunnels DNA but who else did Sloan know? Busch? Greene? Lamborgine? Hastings? Since he was a car mechanic the police should be able to perform a search or investigation if any oft the long cast of characters worked at his gas station at Middlebelt and 10 mile. Thanks for posting all the information. I know it takes a ton of work and time. Your readers appreciate it.
LG, I have never seen a photo of Ted Lamborgine from back in the day. I remember asking one of my brothers why in the hell they weren’t running an old photo of this freak so that people could see what he looked like back in 1976 and 1977. I will say that there were a couple of witnesses and victims who recognized this animal from his old guy photo.
Your second question is a great one. I don’t know the answer, and I am quite sure no one on the task force does either.
The blue eyes–yes, those suspect photos in the old news footage were very interesting. The composite drawings look so different in color than in black and white in a newspaper.
Sloan’s name does not come up in any of these documents. Because the FOIA requests were made before the Sloan “announcement” we have not seen anything current in the investigation. I bet there is stuff in their files from back in the day and today that is heinous. To be clear, hairs found in his Bonneville matched hairs found on Tim and Mark. As prosecutor Cooper told the world, the hairs do not match Sloan. The hair found on Kristine’s jacket was a mtDNA match to Vince Gunnels.
Did investigators go back and ask any of the many victims described in these pages about the names Chris Busch, Greg Greene, Arch Sloan or John Hastings? No idea. Did anyone connect up affluent men beyond Frank Shelden to the highly organized child pornography filming alleged to be connected to General Motors? Again, unknown.
