R.I.H.

As one of my favorite people says, another grave to piss on:

Guess they didn’t have room in the obit for this pertinent info:

Looks like Tazelaar’s heart condition, the one his attorney said would prevent him from taking a polygraph in the OCCK case in 2007, didn’t slow him down too much for the next 15 years.

Rot in Hell.

  1. Shakespeare had a perfect epitaph for Tazelaar: ‘A most notable coward, an infinite and endless liar, an hourly promise breaker, the owner of no one good quality.’

  2. Cathy,

There is currently a Mark Schuck, age 62, residing in Port Huron today. While the odds are long that he is the same person referenced above, he just might be. Or he could be completely unconnected to Tazelaar.
(In 1977, this man would have been 17.)

Is it worth it to try to contact this man to see IF he has any additional information about Josiah Tazelaar? (Did Tazelaar ever introduce him to other men? If so, who?)

Anyway, do you have any advice about approaching people who might (MIGHT or MIGHT NOT) be tangentially connected to a suspect in this case?

    1. Hi Paul, very interesting find. I don’t have any advice and the police certainly aren’t going to even try to talk to him unless DNA came back on Tazelaar. I think the police will not do any more detective work on this case unless there is some kind of a DNA match after ALL of the evidence is retested. No DNA = end of the road. Convicted pedophile Tazelaar, his brother (still living in B’ham last time I checked) and Jack Faxon all hung out together. Tazelaar got out of a polygraph due to his “weak heart,” the brother talked in blustery circles (had lived in B’ham forever and claimed not to remember the OCCK crimes) and of course no one spoke with Faxon before he died in 2020.
