Feds getting the job done in Northern Ohio.
A 56-year-old priest was sentenced in federal court to life in prison for sex trafficking three victims in northern Ohio.
Compare to the one-year sentences priests in two recent cases in Michigan state court:

I guess you can argue the facts are different, but there is a huge difference between one-year and life. And the age of the defendant argument drives me crazy–these old Michigan priests just didn’t get caught until late in the game and probably have many more victims than the 56-year-old “priest.”
I can’t believe the gaslighting involved in convincing victims a one-year sentence in cases like this is a “win.”

Attorney for Gilgo Beach families
Long Island attorney John Ray has waged a decade-long battle championing the victims in the Gilgo Beach serial killings as law enforcement dragged its feet. Now that there’s been an arrest in the case, police are thinking a little better of Mr. Ray. The district attorney is still apoplectic, but he’ll probably get it together.
