May this be the beginning of the end of the widespread practice of protecting wealthy, powerful men.

The press conference this morning to push for the passage of Epstein Files Transparency Act was incredibly powerful and should be required viewing for anyone on Capitol Hill, state legislatures, prosecutors’ offices and law enforcement.

If you don’t have time to watch the entire press conference, at least listen to Anouska De Georgiou describe the impact of sexual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, beginning at about the 16:01 mark.

Watch De Georgiou’s description of how it felt to learn one of her abusers was being moved from prison to a Texas corrections camp for good girls. Note also the military flyover Epstein’s former best friend ordered in honor of a visit from Poland’s new president. The timing is quite suspicious, and we all get the message.

When society at large and law enforcement in particular do not listen to survivors of sex crimes and trafficking, all the wealthy criminals get protected and the schemes just expand. When those in power (including prosecutors) keep this shit under the radar to protect reputations (and cash flow), guys like this (and his son), and this, and this, and this, and their various associates, as well as enablers, get to skate. Skate away without anyone in larger society suspecting much of anything. This ignorance can then metastasize into this:

It’s far easier to send a Josiah Tazelaar, a Greg Greene, an Arch Sloan, a Richard Lawson or a Ted Lamborgine to prison. But start investigating the big boys–the men in suits and robes and uniforms–and send them to the Big House, along with their enablers when crimes are uncovered. It’s the only way we have a chance to slow this Satan train down.

The brave survivors who spoke today about their victimization by Epstein and Maxwell and the continued victimization by a weaponized Justice Department will not be silenced by a military flyover, and no longer by the kind of threats commonly employed by these POS and their representatives.

As Anouska De Georgiou stated, the statistics alone demand action. Every 74 seconds, someone is sexually assaulted. Every nine minutes, that person is a child. Ignoring or downplaying sex crimes and giving passes to the wealthy and powerful just ensures these numbers will never change.

Although it is decades too late for far too many, the days of sweeping these sex crimes under the rug better be over. Secrecy shields only the guilty. No more. Do that shit (including viewing CSAM) at your peril, freaks. Expose these fuckers whether they are young, old, wealthy, poor, or an old, nasty snatch like Ghislaine Maxwell, and make them pay for these most serious crimes. In prison, not a corrections spa.

Stop hiding these crimes and allowing them to continue through the decades. Transparency may reveal the misdeeds of prior investigators and prosecutors: So be it. Let them share the spotlight.

Release the Epstein files with victims’ names and identifying information redacted, protect the survivors and prosecute the powerful predators who have thus far evaded justice.

Stop protecting the predators.
