People ask me what they can do to try to advance this coldest of cold cases. You can start by arming yourself with this information. The book is not a true crime mental diversion. It is deep analysis of the corruption in the OCCK investigation, directly connected to the news articles from the day and FOIA documents.
It is not a recitation of facts without analysis. It will challenge you to refute what is set forth and test your confirmation bias (based on the recitation of the “company line” over five decades) in this heinous case.
True crime podcaster Nina Innsted understood the difference:
Depraved public officials made sure in 1977 and 1978 that these child murders would never be solved. That they would just turn into lore that sunk into the background of Oakland County’s big business/wealth model. And actions were taken over the ensuing decades to make sure the lid stayed on these cases.
It’s why efforts to solve the case in the present day are probably futile (but not impossible). Public officials made sure the monsters who were raping kids in Oakland County and then the monsters who killed the kids they raped and/or filmed stayed under the radar. Pedophiles, even the wealthy ones, were bad for business in an alleged “law and order” county.
They must be exposed even if it is long, long past the time any of them could answer for this. Because we know this depravity continues to the present day. See Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and their associates. “Friends” and “donors” are protected by depraved public officials and victims and survivors are not. This makes all of us less safe.
Society is a victim when there is public corruption. It happens right under your nose and this book shows you how. In a place like Oakland County, it’s almost easy. You can even be a ham-handed thug and pull it off.
Oakland County was built up on the backs of the OCCK victims and other murder victims and survivors of child rape and CSAM whose lives mattered not to men who wanted to advance politically and keep people and businesses moving into Oakland County.
Please arm yourself with the information and analysis in this book. That’s what you can do.
