It appears the OCCK discussion appears just after the 1 hour 10 minute mark. And it lasts about 37 minutes.
A very good discussion. Great job on the questions and answers with Cathy. She is the only one who kept her eye on the ball on what needs to be done, and the current status and current issues with the investigation. And I loved the “Groundhog Day” analogy.
All the Brother Rice boys interviewed (Mike Bouchard 1974, Chris Hansen 1977, David Gorcyca 1980 and Kevin Dietz 1983) spun their stories to make themselves look important in this case. A case which they failed to help solve, and just gave up on after getting their recognition.
Bouchard seemed to still be using the Brooks Patterson playbook. The killer was in jail or died. And they will not talk to any of the people who were turned away over the last 50 years, but they will now talk to those who wish to tell their story for the first time. After 50 years, I feel most are gone. But if one does walk in, they will never let anyone know what was discussed. He also continues to say that the bodies were laid out a specific way except for Jill. I believe Tim was not. He seemed to indicate his Special Investigators meet with him every few months or six months. At that rate 60 years will be here in no time.
Hansen spun the story towards his involvement with Norberg, how the task force turf war did not hinder the investigation of the case, and that there were not multiple people involved. One or two persons at the most. He must have really swallowed the lies Ray Anger and Brooks Patterson told everyone. And similar to Bouchard, he continues the story that the bodies were laid out a specific way. And that they were cleaned as well.
Dietz was proud of his interviews with Lawson and Lamborgine. I do like the job Dietz did, but he could have done better if he had interviewed another Brother Rice graduate, John Hastings.
Gorcyca is just clueless. Claims that unstable people with crazy tips and theories was all he saw. Spun the story quickly to The Kill Jar and claimed Cathy was an author with Appelman. I believe she only wrote the forward. And if you cannot charge a dead person, then close the case and open all the files.
