As previously noted, to mark the 50th anniversary of the still unsolved Oakland County Child Murders, Nina Innsted of the Already Gone Podcast has rewritten, updated, and re-recorded the 2018 series ” Don’t Talk to Strangers .” Take a listen to today’s updated episode on North Fox Island:

As the collective nervous system of the country is being torched by the revelations in the Epstein/Maxwell case, consider just for a moment what might have happened if authorities aggressively pursued the participants in the “original Epstein Island” in Michigan in 1976 and 1977. Years that overlapped the child killings in Oakland County–yet no one really looked at the obvious implications of a full scale pedophile and CSAM ring being run by a pedophile fueled with generational money and cultivated “philanthropical” influence right there in Michigan. Gym teacher Gerald Richards was an easy throw-away, just as Greg Greene had been in Flint. Men like this go to prison. Men like Frank Shelden or Chris Busch do not.
It’s no surprise when you consider that Congress had to carefully craft and pass the Epstein Transparency Act, designed to make illegal the very stunts always used by agencies and law enforcement in document productions to cover for wealthy and powerful perpetrators, as well as to try to counter the corresponding sloppiness and negligence in protecting the names of survivors. The Department of “Justice” has ignored the law and proceeded as a tool for the perpetrators as have many agencies before them, for many decades. Literally just ignored the law; the deadline, the requirements. They like the old, unspoken rules; the rules that protect the Epsteins, the Maxwells and their pals around the globe at the expense of the victimized.
As acknowledged at the beginning of the podcast episode, it is almost a miracle that reporter Marilyn Wright of the Traverse City Record-Eagle left detailed investigative reporting of the N. Fox monsters and their operation. Remarkably, but unsurprisingly, the press in Southeastern Michigan barely touched the story. It received wider coverage in the Chicago area. Her reporting stands as a half-century old testament to truth-telling in the face of larger forces that protect the wealthy, the powerful, their “black sheep” family members, and their “associates.”
Black sheep like Francis Duffield Shelden. Christopher Busch (perhaps more of a flock in that family). Everell E. Fisher, Jr. (one of four tips turned in on him in the OCCK case helpfully reminds other investigators that he is “Related to the GM Fishers”).
These were not men who were seeking to outrun the I.R.S. They were crushing their accusers and those afraid to come forward with the help of the legal system, just as Epstein (even in death) and Maxwell (now in her Club Fed setting) are. Just as Epstein’s “clients” in the United States will.
Some things never change.

The veil of wealth has protected many individuals. Victims stories aren’t believed. Reports are left to die. The story is called a hoax, by those involved. Half assed investigations take place to appease the public. With no real intent to solve the cases.
I spend way too much time correcting creators on social media about NFI and Shelden.
I’m also sick of every creator linking it with JonBenet and the Ramsey’s having a summer house in Charlevoix.
Is it a crazy coincidence? Absolutely!
Is there proof or evidence of Gpa Ramsey hanging out on NFI and being there? Not yet. Believe me, I’ve been looking and even referred questions to airline pilots to help understand what exactly does it take to have an airstrip granted public in the 1960s in MI.
The Shelden brothers didn’t need permission from anyone to build that airstrip. You can have a strip on your land and fly in and out all day. BUT! I do think FDS knew if he had his airfield granted as a public airfield, which is where the MI Aero Commission comes in, he would have been given either tax breaks or funding for the upkeep or provided help with the mowing/signage, etc for it.
One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the men back then who were of FDS’s ilk went on to be major anti-taxation supporters and maybe even started their own local anti tax group in their communities. Fucetolas in New Jersey and Eldridge in Grosse Pointe are two off the top of my head.
I’d be interested in any information you have on Eldridge.
