Five years later

Just a reminder of the passage of time and the dragging of feet.  Ask me why I’m not impressed when someone goes on camera and says the cases are still being worked on.

I have posted both of these letters before, dated January 2021.  Five years ago.

I know it’s a lot of reading.  But I’m done hearing about war stories from the heroic efforts of law enforcement back in  1977.  Fast forward to what we know we don’t know now.

 

An attempted assault prior to the OCCK crimes.

A reader provided this information to me and I am posting it because it might ring a bell for someone who can provide more information.

A boy was a victim of an attempted assault in the early-ish 1970’s. He lived with his family near 8 Mile and Gill Rd. The man that abducted him drove a red and white Chevy van. He had a 17-year-old son who drove a blue Gremlin. The man’s first name is Mino, last name unknown. He lived on a street named Violet, near Grand River, in Farmington Hills.
The boy was taken into the van, but the it went off the road, and he was able to escape.  The father and son both threatened the boy not to tell anyone about the incident.
This area is very near to where Tim’s body was dumped on March 22, 1977.  It is also in the area Arch Sloan worked, and near Sorrows Church, where Father Gary was a priest.
