What an asshole gray is!!! Threw me off the task force in August 2009 for talking to Helen Dagner & all along he was talking with her. I was actually questioning her information on hastings before interviewing him. He was doing nothing but sharing what we were working on!!!😤
I brought the Chris Busch lead to them and worked it tirelessly as the lead investigator. Now I see gray was not only lying to me, but withholding valuable information!!!!
This is the first I’ve heard of a “Paul Bowman” running with Hastings & Chris Busch. Wish I would have known this in 2007-09!!!!
Guessing Paul was probably connected to Scott Bowman who was Busch & Greene’s victim in Oakland & Genesee Counties!!!

Controlling the narrative was always the point and that began in late January 1977.
Among the many, many issues with the MSP in this case, remember that Gray was always on the One Bad Day program. He told my dad and one of my brothers, when they approached him with suggestions about how we could help as the 30th anniversary approached, that they should settle down because he was on the OBD program. What’s that? my dad asked. One bad day and I’m out of here. He said this to my dad’s face. This was well before Busch’s name ever resurfaced. Such an SOB and so was his partner Dave Robertson. Both morons, they didn’t even realize how much my dad wanted to trust these worthless POS. Such useful idiots, as Robert Robertson had been, to Patterson and Thompson.
He wouldn’t listen to Helen and he sure as fuck wouldn’t listen to me. He deep-sixed anything that didn’t comply with the OBD program. You saw him interview people. The man was a joke.
Is this the first you realized that?!? You have no idea how angry that makes me. So many of us were victims of Gray because of his intense ego and need to control Helen and everyone who dared communicate with her. You really threw a wrench into the machine by being thorough and committed. This is seriously triggering some deeply buried rage.

Cory, did you ever come across a Chris(topher) Paul Bauman? That may actually be the name of the person that Helen is referring to. (Based on what I saw for the history of the address, and that person is 66 and living in Ferndale now).
If this is the case. How much does anyone trust the swab lab work that was done?
It is useless for now because all of the evidence in this case needs to be tested or retested by a sophisticated third-party lab. Then those swabs might be more revealing. This would take a couple of phone calls. The state lab knows how chain of custody procedures are handled in these situations because they have done it before in other cold homicides. It doesn’t require a bunch of face-to-face meetings that take two months to arrange because of scheduling and waiting for supervisors to weigh in. Get that goddamn evidence, all of it, from every single agency that might have shit sitting in their facilities and send it for evaluation. Odds are if previously unknown male DNA is developed, it will match one of the animals they have gotten buccal swabs from.
I never trusted anything that allegedly was submitted for testing. How could you? The fix was always in at all levels.
It’s funny/not funny. The reason I have copies of old emails is that when I felt like someone was fucking with my computer and my cell phone, I started printing emails. I have at least 10 2-3″ notebooks from some time in 2007 through 2012 filled with emails that document part of this awful journey. I had someone in LE scoff at me for thinking my computer was being hacked back then. But it wasn’t just me. It was my brother Chris, Judi, Terri, Marie, and Jason who all mentioned similar issues/experiences. And Helen’s websites had site meters and IP addresses showed up, even back then. The MSP was on her site all the time. This was their idea of investigating. Gray and Robertson were the kind of cops who liked to fuck with people. It was a pissing match with Helen. They treated the rest of us–civilians trying to offer information in a serial murder case–like drunk drivers on I-75. Meanwhile, people like John Hastings get the kid glove treatment by Gray and the bad news about his FAIL in Georgia gets buried. And these are the kind of men who would put photos of my dead brother in the FOIA response. We had been spared those images, but these POS were going to make my dad look at those if they were going to hand over all those FOIA pages. The only upside? It disproved their “babysitter,” kids placed in funereal fashion, placed kindly in the snow, bullshit narrative.
I have over 11,000 emails from 2003 on if you ever want me to see if I can find anything specific.
One last comment. I’ve expressed many times in the past. My experience talking to GG is in the same vote as stated above by Cathy & Judi. I sensed a strong rebellion towards Helen and that was all that came across to me after talking to him several times on the phone. He did not seem to be professional, in fact the furthest from it and I’ll leave it at that.
Tom Hastings is married to Nancy Bryson Hastings and she is the Mother of Charles P. Bauman – His Father is Christopher P. Bauman. They lived at 4818 Arden Ave. In Warren. I don’t see a “Paul Bowman”.
