This case is somewhat miraculous. Twelve-year-old girl comes forward to report sex crimes. People believe her. Federal charges are filed. Pieces of shit Terry Leon Blankenship and his wife Laurel pressure the girl to recant. Moronic pieces of shit discuss the plan to further pressure the girl over the phone while hubby is incarcerated on the sex trafficking charges. Feds charge them with witness tampering and bring case to trial where a jury convicts them. Both face lengthy sentences and substantial fines when they are sentenced in May.
Here is direct evidence of what child predators will do to avoid getting caught or appropriately sentenced for their crimes. It is also direct evidence of the fact that judges going at all easy on a defendant in child sex crime case should expect to see that defendant before them again.
“At the time of this offense conduct, Terry Leon Blankenship was a registered sex offender and was serving a term of federal supervised release after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography in United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on December 5, 2008. He faces up to two years in prison for committing a crime while on supervised release.”

The tape recorded calls were proof of the conspiracy to silence a young victim (damage her custody situation, buy her an iPhone). But pedophiles, sex traffickers, child porn users/makers have a long legacy of silencing victims and witnesses. Subtle and not-so-subtle, sometimes lifelong intimidation and worse. Threats to family members, harming/killing pets, beatings, use of direct energy weapons (DEWs), and murder. Even when the crimes are in the pedo’s past, he has much to lose and sometimes will not hesitate to multiply the crimes (himself or through surrogates) to preserve a reputation or stay out of prison. They are really dangerous to society at large, especially because many appear to be so “normal.”
They may get the harsh Michigan sentence of six days in county lock up.
