The Michigan State Police have been disregarding and abusing FOIA laws for decades. Finally the AG is not siding with this bullshit.
Oakland County continues to ignore the victims in this case, as well as the impact to generations of their constituents.
As the one-year mark approaches after the current Oakland County prosecutor’s office contacted me and my brother in response to our pleas for assistance–and then ultimately ghosted us, I have been reviewing comments and correspondence from the past year.
Many readers share our frustrations. Here is an email I received at the beginning of 2024. It is edited to further protect the person’s identity.
Do you think John McKinney drew the picture of Mark? This case is UTTER madness, a labyrinth enigma! Every time i think i have figured it out… i’m actually further away than ever before. Christ i know Detroit has always sucked… but the cess pool of degenerates that lived and operated with impunity in Oakland county with their corrupt political and law enforcement agencies, all topped off with goddamn woeful incompetence blows my mind. How the F did they not have Christopher Busch not under 24/7 surveillance is unconscionable. [ . . .] The massive amount of kids that were abused is staggering and even more perplexing how few have ever come forth. How Cory found abused kids (now adults) from that era as it relates to Lamborgine is perplexing to me. In any event… i do not understand how these adult men did not add to calculus of identifying more perps in this case along with their modus operondi. I think letting the whole case lay dormant for 30 years is outrageous… Ted [Lamborgine] got to live 30 years free and clear because of lazy law enforcement. For god sakes it looks like he kept up his bullshit in Ohio and why Ohio now stands down is frustrating… i get yah cant hang the Manson-esk pos twice… but what a pathetic excuse for a law enforcement agency. Even more incredible is that Lamborgine and Arch Sloan have not been killed per the prison justice code of child molestation is disturbing to me. Christ are they protected? The first thing i would do as a guard is to continually educate all new inmates as to the history of these two scumbags. I would make sure they never got an hour of peace until i got some useful information. Regarding all the police composite drawings per witness descriptions… i noticed not a one of them describes a man with a beard… i believe Busch booking photo in Jan 77 has him with a beard. I can’t fathom how this Jane Burgess got that fat fuck off in FOUR different jurisdictions… what was wrong with prosecutors and the judges! [ . . .] I sent Ted a series of questions… he never responded… the pos kept my stamp ( funny…but not really) The McKinney murder in Sept 77 via . 22 seem interesting as Busch used a .22 on himself… this is a low caliber gun… it is an odd choice imo for murder and suicide as success rate is not even 90 percent. In any event… his murder was not solved by the Keystone cops. How cops had the gall to collect a paycheck for this dereliction of duty is beyond me. I wish Cory had not retired as this case seems to just languish all over again. He had opportunities to see more than what we have as evidence goes and unredacted documents and still he couldn’t put it together. I mean goddamn just release the lie detector tests and let’s see what the questions were and the answers. Cory saw these docs… and it still went nowhere. I’m not being critical of the man… however the frustration level can’t be understated. Children of the Snow … a comment was made by the author of Kill Jar that the killings stop after Busch suicide. I find that non sequitur to be useless as Busch lived another 20 months after what had happened. I feel for you and the affected families to my core. I appreciate you conversing with me on such a painful topic… it is never my intention to cause you pain in bringing up this case… i am sincere in my passion that case one day sees closure and some sense of resolve. Some people smell the stank in this case. And yes, the frustration level is off-the-charts. This is compounded by the bob and weave all involved still engage in. Shit just doesn’t add up, then or now. My dad was gaslit on a daily basis to keep him more quiet after the Busch lead surfaced and to protect people who did not deserve protection. Outrageous is an understatement.
