Another stand-up citizen from Charlevoix, Michigan.

Charlevoix’s Representative Neil Friske showing how to exercise your Second Amendment rights.

Good luck with that, Representative. Although there was a delay in formal charges because . . . well, white/male/MI House of Representatives, it looks like this guy might get the chance to tell a jury about his Second Amendment rights as pertains to sexual assault.

Friske is crying that in light of his re-election campaign, the timing of possible charges is “suspicious.” Are you sure it’s not your 62-year-old “Trojan-Donkey” that’s suspicious here? Or the fact that you are running around at 2:45 a.m. waving a gun and/or firing shots?

Do better, Northern Michigan.

  1. Yeah, There was something in the Detroit media about , “Family runs a popular fruit stand in the area.”

    1. Hardly a ‘fruit stand.’ It’s likely a multi-million enterprise with a huge market, bakery, cafe, camping ground, etc., not to mention the farm, itself. And we all know that where there’s money, there is influence!

  2. Don’t overlook the Grand Traverse County commissioner Brad Jewitt, who was arrested a day or so, after Friske in a prostitution sting. He and his wife own Culver Meadows, a dementia care clinic and I can’t help but wonder about his improprieties with incapacitated people.

      1. You are welcome Cathy. I wish I could share more personally the detail of that period of time when I knew my then friend. There was another friend/acquaintance where we all traveled to Europe in 1976 but got separated from he and the following acquaintance/friend who went on to be a pharmacist. Having read that some of my first friend’s convictions, involved drugs, I can’t help but wonder if there was a connection. My first friend’s grandfather was a doctor. Both these men are still alive.

  3. Friske is taking quite the beating in the comments section of WAPO. National press coverage. As a number of the WAPO commenters wrote–thoughts and prayers, pal.
