Just short of unbelievable, unless you live in Michigan.

You need to see the amazing “moving billboard” being used in Michigan to publicize the failures and most likely corruption in the investigation into the 2020 death of JoAnn Matouk Romain.

Here’s what’s more amazing. A man driving a white van (seriously, pal?) repeatedly rammed the moving billboard on June 30 as it sat parked on Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe Woods. A bystander got photos.

The most recent episode of No One Knows, A Deep Dive Podcast into the death of JoAnn Matouk Romain, describes the hit and run crime:

See also the episode page and if you are on Instagram and the related post/photos/videos. In the days of ubiquitous security cameras and phone cameras, just how brazen do you have to be to pull this? How secure in the thought that nothing would come of this?

Let’s see how law enforcement deals with the suspect in this hit and run. Who hired this idiot? Laser focus on this one, please.

JoAnn’s tragic case demonstrates what happens when law enforcement is empowered to fuck with people. Or to protect dirty players/family members rather than speak for the victim. You should not feel safe if you live in a community or county like JoAnn did. Her family should not have had to file a federal lawsuit or had to mount such a long-term fight in response to this corruption. Think it could never happen to you? Just hope you never need the police. For any reason. Ever.

Outrageous but unsurprising in southeastern Michigan.
