At least that crime story will stay alive in the Detroit media.
Scott interviewed my sister and I re my mother’s case for about 2 hours. Indicated he was going to air it on WDIV. Months later indicates attorneys for WDIV nixed it – wonder why? Don’t have much faith in this guy. I’ll save my money. I’m sure we’ll find out if it’s true.
My guess is that after Hoffa was killed he was taken to Bagnasco Funeral Home, put in a casket and then taken to the crematory to be cremated.

Has Scott Burnstein ever looked into the OCCK case?
In the Appelman interview posted today, Jason indicated he talked to Burnstein on the phone, but did not interview him for this new Shelden project. So I’m sure Scott is well versed with the case. He grew up in the area where it all occurred, but he was only months old when it occurred. I have never seen anything he may have written, but he does a lot of writing behind a paywall and mostly on organized crime. He did a great writeup in the Grosse Pointe News about the Joanne Matouk Romain “murder/suicide” , but I don’t believe he wrote anything in the GPN again.

Scott passed on some interesting information to me in early June of 2022. It is something I keep in the back of my mind, but is speculative and not something I wish to write about. At the time he told me he had no interest in touching this case, he had his hands full already. He was kind and helpful. He must know a lot about this case and the mob was probably none too happy about kids getting offed in suburbs close to where they live. After all they have kids, too.
