Why does anyone let their kid near a youth minister?

I love that this guy rejected a plea agreement and is now facing life in prison. Literally fuck around and find out, James P. Randolph.

A church “leader” (conveniently Randolph’s father-in-law) who ordained, promoted and elevated this man at Living Word Church in Midland, Michigan, knew of his criminal past, which included a gang rape of a minor conviction.

In 1984, Randolph was convicted of assault with intent to do great bodily harm. While on parole, he and two other men were charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old developmentally disabled Jackson girl. Randolph pleaded no contest to raping the girl with foreign objects and forcing her to perform oral sex on him. He was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.

Ten years in prison didn’t get the job done. And youth ministry?! Come on, father-in-law–your Bible didn’t get the job done, either.

Sentencing is November 13.
