I hope his attorney and the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission appreciate how difficult it is for the average citizen to trust the legal system these days, especially when the men and women in robes are falling well below the standards expected for the average citizen.
Accused of sexual harassment of other judges, attorneys and coworkers; undisclosed conflicts of interest; exerting undue influence in cases not before him; unreasonable delays in issuing rulings and coding files to avoid time limits, as well as failing to act on dozens of personal protection order petitions within required timeframes; and shocker–alcohol abuse, this man is a giant liability for Jackson County. If the Tenure Commission doesn’t deal with it, the voters will have to.
Ask yourself if you pulled any of this shit at your job if you would still be employed. These people get second chances all day long, and they rule on cases involving people who seldom get another chance. It’s twisted.

Influencing cases, delaying trials. Seems we heard about these tactics recently by other judges in other cases in Michigan.
Yes. Even in cases where venue is changed given obvious conflicts of interest. It’s who you know in Southeastern Michigan, for sure. Tentacles everywhere for some of these people. And, two female judges in Oakland County with publicized “problems” over the past few years and I think both are still sitting in judgment of others.
And then they will bring in a visiting judge for sentencing. This way there is no ramifications during the next election cycle for the local judges.
An infected judiciary.
This was several years ago in the Royal Oak, Michigan area. A woman judge was running for another public office. The police caught her drunk driving. She was falling down drunk. I believe she got by with an alcohol class.
