Check out the national news coverage from the OCCK case in 1977

I did go crazy on one commenter to the channel–yet another true crime expert who wants to dissect my dad’s “performance” at the press conference where he had to beg for his son to be returned unharmed.  It’s kind of a common refrain by people I can only assume have never had to do one goddamn thing under pressure on camera.

The channel did pull together good footage from the national coverage.  The entire country was watching.

Ann Arbor resident and children’s doctor charged for child pornography possession

Case Details, Sack

There are assurances that Dr. Sack’s arrest has no connection to his employment.  Except that every parent I have ever met would never consider letting a doctor who views child sexual assault material on his computer anywhere near their child.  Or their own body for that matter.

Consider the fact that these people risk their entire lives–career, freedom, reputation–by engaging in such activity.  And they do it anyway.  That is the reddest of red flags that a judge should consider at sentencing.
