Abused by the badge.

The same morning I read the link about the still employed, but allegedly “disciplined,” MSP detective who sexted a widow whose case he was assigned to (https://www.wxyz.com/news/in-total-shock-woman-claims-msp-detective-assigned-to-her-case-continuously-sent-nude-photos), the top story of the online edition of the The Washington Post covered an enraging story about a predator cop in New Orleans. https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/interactive/2024/new-orleans-police-child-sexual-abuse-rodney-vicknair/?itid=hp-top-table-main_p001_f001 .

It didn’t translate well via printer, so the link to the article is better.

The creep in New Orleans got his. But that is rarely the case.

Why is the MSP detective not suspended during an investigation of his actions? From a reader: “We all know, when there is signs of smoke, usually there is a fire. How many others, as it is, suggested, he has preyed on? Waiting for other victims to come forward, and more from the MSP, charged with the mishandling of reports.” And while others come forward, this shit heel continues to carry a badge. Your legal exposure grows, MSP . . .

  1. How The Washington Post investigated police officers accused of sexually abusing children: https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2024/03/14/police-child-sex-abuse-how-we-reported/. “We discovered that, on average, a law enforcement officer has been charged with a crime involving child sexual abuse twice a week, every week, for 18 years.” After spending a year investigating these crimes, The Post will spend the next year publishing stories about their findings.

  2. A federal judge in New Orleans postponed a trial in a civil case against the city following The Post’s revelations Thursday.

“The victim’s lawyers, in a motion filed Thursday, accused the city of withholding ‘highly relevant text messages.’ The texts show the head of the New Orleans Police Department was notified of ‘potential sexual abuse of a minor by an officer’ days before that officer sexually assaulted her in 2020, when she was 15.” The existence of these text messages was reported in The Post today and contradict the claims the city made in court that no one at the PD was on notice of the detective’s inappropriate behavior. Trial was set to begin Monday. The city better get the check book out unless you want to take your chances with this outrageous case.

    1. Dirty pigs. I’ve heard a few stories over the past 12 years about this type of cop. Old man Berkley cop Jim Cox, for example, who younger cops are apparently still scared shitless to confront or even interview. I think the POS is still alive. I hate it when these animals get the last laugh, sitting there on their front porches daring anyone to look at them. The world will be a better place when he joins Robert Van Hengel in Hell.
