How many times have I watched a true crime show, and the investigators cannot wait for that moment when they finally get to arrest the suspect after confirming the DNA. Not in this case.
And they will not discuss the suicide. Let me guess, he had a blood alcohol level of over 0.4, and shot himself in the head with a rifle while safely tucked in bed.
Anything to try to avoid a gigantic civil judgment. They just increased the odds and the amount. Brain surgeons.
This case really stinks. This older article explains more detail of how inept the police were during the investigation. They believed jailhouse snitches and others facing cocaine charges, over the facts they obtained. I’m sure these “heroes” are now the leaders of the local community.
