Timothy Allen Daugherty, a 61-year-old resident of White Lake, has been charged with six counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct by Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald.

UPDATE, July 8, 2025–Daugherty was sentenced today to 10-15 years in prison. He was a former Huron Valley Schools substitute teacher. He was convicted of sexually assaulting six female students under his care who were between the ages of 9 and 11.

It’s six counts of CSC2 with multiple minor victims. $75K with 10% provision seems light. The GPS tether he is now required to wear (allegations came to light in April) is hardly reassuring. Oakland County District Court Magistrate Robert Morad. Maybe he will just get a slap on the wrist or a short prison term, after which he can become a child pornographer.
I feel for the children that have to go through cross examination. But the good is that he will be put away not to harm anymore. 🙏
It doesn’t surprise me that it’s someone from Oakland County again. The citizens of Oakland County can thank L. Brooks Patterson for allowing pedophiles and sex offenders to run rampant in Oakland County.
Yep. If you ignore a problem or subsidize it, you get more of it. Mr. Law and Order/No Deals created a very permissive culture for pedophiles in Oakland County in the 1970s. He and his staff looked the other way because these were more “upper crust” sex criminals and because he had to create the illusion that life north of 8 Mile was perfect. Once things got out of hand and kids started dying, it was too late. The murders might have stopped, but it really seems they would only rarely touch child rape or CSAM cases for decades after that. Too much at stake if they looked under the hood. Oakland County, Port Huron, Flint, Ess Lake, Fox Island, Charlevoix, Ontanogan and many places in between became good places for these monsters to roam. As for the new Daugherty (age 61 now), I wonder why his case in 2016 was dismissed. I am assuming it is the same person based on address history.
And a substitute teacher, who works at various schools! A civil lawsuit will apparently be filed on behalf of some of the victims. I wanted to let everyone know that I lost my beautiful son Stephen at the age of 26 this week. He passed in his sleep. He was the most caring and thoughtful person you could ever meet.
