Living in the upside down times.

Trump said today that he would consider pardoning Diddy (Sean Combs), the 55-year-old rapper who is about half-way through what is expected to be a five-week trial mostly for sex crimes. A federal indictment unsealed late last September alleges that between 2008 and the present, Combs abused, threatened, and coerced women and others, and led a racketeering conspiracy that engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice, among other crimes.

As I’ve observed before, right now is a great time in history to be a high profile sex offender. Trump says he wants to review the facts of the case. I bet he does. He probably will be bummed he didn’t get an invite to a freak-off.

  1. To “Champ”: I picked up your comment on my phone and it went into the ether before I could post it. So I will summarize it and respond. I’m sure I will hear back from you if I don’t get it right.

    1. My obsession with Trump is pathetic. It is not an obsession, Champ. It is outrage. Many people like you voted for a president who was adjudged in civil court to have committed sexual assault and levied heavy, as yet unpaid, damages. This administration has two high ranking officials who are credibly accused of sexual assault. One admitted cornering and groping his children’s nanny. The other denied, but again has been credibly charged with sexual assault aided with the use of rohypnol. This administration is connected to assisting Andrew and Tristan Tate return to the US from Romania, where they had been detained for three years on human trafficking charges, prompting outrage from their alleged victims. https://www.thetimes.com/us/news-today/article/andrew-tristan-tate-trump-miami-9tnjfvvnx.

    2. Stick to what I know. Many child victims of the sex rings that operated in Michigan in the 1970s, during the era of the OCCK crimes were ignored–both back in the day and when some of them attempted to come forward after the OCCK crimes were again in the news after 2008. I’m pretty sure you get this link and when you tell me to “stick to what I know,” that’s part of what I know. I also know that predators and prosecutors received “special” treatment in the OCCK investigation.

    3. All Trump did was say he would look at the facts. He said this in the middle of a trial, where 12-14 jurors have agreed to give up at least five weeks of their life and to judge the defendant fairly and in accordance with the evidence. And the president is offering to weigh in on their verdict? The Department of Justice has been preparing this case for over a year. And the president dangles a pardon (and don’t kid yourself, he is handing them out, even doing so after one of his crypto purchasers requested a pardon for her son after the big dinner at Mar-a-Lago). It was utterly inappropriate. The jury will reach a verdict or will be a hung jury in due time and should not be undermined by the threat of a pardon.

    4. This causes me to lose credibility. Champ, there are a lot of people like you who read my blog with whom I share very few core beliefs. We don’t have to be friends. If you find me to be lacking in credibility, don’t read my blog.

    1. Champ sounds like not only a fool but far, far worse. The federal court is taking Diddy DOWN. They’ve still got 5 more weeks. The trial has only just begun.

  2. It’s just sad what “this man” is doing, but I’m not surprised.
His way of treating Justice is a Disgrace to the human society 🙁

  3. There is so much going on in the world, why would Trump even consider evaluating Diddy’s case, my gosh (like he is even remotely qualified). When I heard about this the other day, I was hoping the media took it out of context, but nope. Idiot.
