This is a new book on the OCCK case written by Ellen Wilson.
You might remember Ellen from “Wilson’s Words and Pictures,” https://wilsonswordsandpictures.com/about-ellen-wilson/. I have linked to some of her web pages about the OCCK case and investigation over the years. They were insightful.
I ordered the book today. When she sent me a link to the book she observed that “truth wins out in the end. Always.”
Wrote about this one a while back. Now it has been revealed that a mental health report determined that Troy, Michigan 52-4 District Judge Kirsten Hartig was “‘unsafe to practice’ due to disruptive behavior and personality dysfunction.” She is accused of withholding this report from the Judicial Tenure Commission for some five months.
When the report was provided, the judge requested redaction of the above conclusion. Read about how the redaction ended up being removed inadvertently:
Last month she was removed from hearing felony cases and “relegated” to hearing civil, landlord-tenant and small claims cases. The 52nd District Chief Judge now believes she should be removed from her entire docket while the complaint is being addressed.
The Judicial Commission’s Disciplinary Counsel will petition the Michigan Supreme Court to appoint a special master, who will preside over a public hearing on the complaints against Judge Hartig. Your tax dollars at work, Oakland County. I guess it’s either that or defend against some wrongful termination lawsuit filed against the county by this judge.
The citizens of Troy and Clawson, Michigan deserve far better than “unsafe to practice” due to disruptive behavior and personality disorder. And she is the last thing anyone with a civil, landlord-tenant or small claims case in District 52-4, needs.
