Child predators rarely get slowed down. Here’s an exception.

I was trying to find something in the meager N. Fox/Frank Shelden FOIA documents I have and was once again struck by how many months it took to get arrest warrants for Frank Shelden and his co-conspirator and fellow pedophile rapist Dyer Grossman (noted in the files as a “bi-ped”–boys or girls).  Five months to get arrest warrants when the record clearly reflected these were men of means who could flee to literally anywhere in the world.

File notes from the MSP file reflect that St. Clair County Prosecutor Peter Deegan would defer acting for months due to his trial load.  He kept blowing the MSP off.  The Washtenaw County prosecutor (Ann Arbor) would not act until St. Clair County did.  Shelden and Grossman of course fled justice and continued their crimes against children for many decades.  Shelden and Grossman could have been stopped, or at least slowed down, in the summer of 1976.  Instead, they never answered for a single crime, in part due to a “heavy trial load.”

The man who was concerned that coconspirator Gerald Richards be on call to destroy files and documents at his residence to save his parents any embarrassment, went on to rape children around the world for many years.  Michigan helped inflict this man on god knows how many young boys.  There was no Sheriff Billy Woods calling this POS out.  Swept under the rug because Michigan scions would never be involved in child rape or CSAM, right?
