There are names on the back too. I can read some such as Tazelaar, Keller, and Sandberg and a Jerome Rogg or Rugg.
It’s wild to me the copy of the back is so fuzzy.
There a podcast called New Orleans Unsolved about some murders of teeenage boys in New Orleans in the 1970s. There’s a similar spider web from a New Orleans perspective and North Fox Island is included. The connections are similar, the playbook is similar, and the corruption runs really deep. Season 2, episode 43 especially so. Frank Shelden gets mentioned in more than one episode, too.

Cranbrook University was not a good Institution for me and I was informed by Cranbrook legal team what happened in the seventies they were not interested in they’re only concerned about the people that were molested decades sooner their words not mine and if the house Lansing passes the justice for Survivor bill survivors like myself and others may be able to see some Justice and closure

I never did much reading into the details of Boy’s Farm and Claude Vermilye.
Boys Farm and Brother Paul’s both used the same business model by receiving Local, State and Federal funding under the guise of a religious or child care organization. In addition, both photographed and filmed activities that were later sold and used for additional funding of their activities. No real surprise there.
However I do find it quite interesting of what the leaders of both organizations have in common, Claudius Vermilye and Frank Shelden.
– Both were born in 1928.
– Both were raised in highly affluent communities (Bayside, NY and Grosse Pointe, MI).
– Both were raised amongst some of the wealthiest people in the country.
– Both were educated in New York 85 miles apart. Shelden was educated at Millbrook Academy in NY, and Vermilye attended Bayside High School.
– Both schools had many famous alumni.
– Both served during the Korean War. Shelden in Michigan Air National Guard, and Vermilye in the Air Force for four years as a staff sergeant at Clark Air Base in the Philippines.
– Both grew up and were members of local Yacht Clubs and enjoyed sailing.
– In addition, Vermilye’s father was a radio engineer and design engineer for an aircraft corporation in New York. I have to wonder if anyone in his family was a pilot.
– Vermilye’s uncle(?), Rexford Drake Vermilye, was born in Bayside, NY and is buried in Russellville, AL. He was married to the daughter of one of the most prominent men in Russellville, AL. I have to wonder if there is any connection to Doug Bennett.
