Former Berlin Township trustee and local boy scout leader, John Steven Sorovetz, was arrested and charged with sexual assault against a minor.
There could well be other victims. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office noted there was a “pattern of behavior throughout this lengthy investigation.”

Sorovetz’s defense counsel issued this statement:
“I urge people to withhold opinions until the facts are revealed. Mr. Sorovetz has cooperated throughout every step of the investigation, including passing two polygraph examinations. The complainants are motivated by greed. Mr. Sorovetz has already filed a countersuit demanding compensation for the damages he has suffered from this ordeal. John looks forward to addressing these accusations in court.”

- Cooperation after the sheriff shows up? Polygraphs? Spare me. This man knows polygraphs are not admissible in court. A polygraph should never trump a lengthy investigation. Nice try.

Cathy, We spoke of this. In Michigan, we no longer have normal local news. It is mostly the police blotter. You could easily post on MI creeps daily. Sad thing is, it gives legitimate coaches, teachers, priests, police officers, etc. a bad rap.
