I live in Metro Detroit. I watch the news daily and I keep pen and paper at the ready. I cannot keep up With these perverts.
Glad I don’t have kids that want to go there or U of M. Maybe not enough investigation into their backgrounds? They keep hiring these pervs.
They are experts at cover ups. I knew women who went to MSU in the 1980’s. These were verbatim conversations. “So, I went home for (insert major holiday). My parents were like, ‘What are they doing about the (insert any type of sex pervert) ? I was like ‘ What ? I knew nothing about that . ‘ “
The Clery Act reports from MSU must be eye-opening. The Jeanne Clery Act (1990) requires “institutions of higher education” receiving federal funds (Title IV) to file an annual report every October 1 disclosing campus crime statistics and campus security policies. The Clery Act was amended in 2024 to include the publishing of hazing incidents and information on hazing prevention programs, as well as develop a Campus Hazing Transparency Report.
As of 2025, an institution must keep the most recent seven years of crime statistics that occurred on campus, in institution residential facilities, in noncampus buildings, or on public property.
This annual campus crime report must include crime statistics for the prior three years, as reported to or brought to the attentions of, campus security authorities or local police agencies, including murder, sex offenses, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, manslaughter, arson and hate crimes. This includes reports of all alleged criminal incidents, rather than only crimes for which a finding of guilt has been made.
These reports must be shared with current students and employees, as well as with any applicants for enrollment or employment upon request. UPON REQUEST being a key phrase here. These universities don’t automatically include these stats in their brochures or as lines in an enthusiastic campus tour.

The Clery Act is named in honor of Jeanne Clery, who was raped and murdered by a fellow student at Lehigh University in 1986. Her attack and murder was one of 38 violent crimes reported at the university in the prior three years. In their successful civil suit, Jeanne’s parents argued that had they known about this history of violent crime at the school, their daughter would not have attended. Connie and Howard Clery then founded a nonprofit group to work on this legislation and other campus safety measures.
According to Wikipedia, numerous institutions have been fined and found in non-compliance with the Clery Act over the years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clery_Act. Large-scale Clery violations have resulted in fines involving institutions like MSU (Larry Nassar), Eastern Michigan University (murder of Laura Dickinson), and Penn State (Larry Sandusky pedophile sex scandal). Id. Hair-splitting over reporting requirements appears to be a common problem even in the absence of major sex scandals and heavy fines.
Josoph Henry received the death penalty in 1987 for the rape and murder of Jeanne Clery. The sentence was overturned on appeal and Henry later traded his appeal rights for a life sentence without the possibility of parole. He remains incarcerated in Pennsylvania today.
Clery stats are almost always misleading, if only because they are compiled in the administrative silo of the campus police. Compiling accurate stats requires coordination with the other administrative silos that also collect data on their complaints and cases: Title IX, student affairs, housing.
As a retired university professor who also worked with Title IX for decades, I can assure you that these silos rarely communicate in the best of times.
PA electrocuted about 350 men prior to the late 1960s. They have rarely executed since then with the exception of Gary Heinrich. Too bad we no longer have Ole Smokey in the Key Stone state.
3 additional complaints as of yesterday.
I will say the Detroit media is doing a nice job of asking former patients of Dr. Pervert to come forward.
