Here is a district-wide email alert of an attempted child abduction in a nearby town I received from our school district a few years ago. The attempt occurred in the next school district over and our district notified all parents. Compare it to the notice sent to Quarton school families in my last post.
Like Birmingham, these communities have reason not to fuck around. Jeanine Nicarico, age 10, was kidnapped, raped and murdered in Naperville, IL, in 1983. Here’s how the case is described in Wikipedia:
The Jeanine Nicarico murder case was a complex and influential homicide investigation and prosecution which took place in DuPage County, Illinois that sent two men to prison who were later exonerated and released, and contributed to the death penalty moratorium imposed by then-GovernorGeorge H. Ryan.
In July 2009, Brian Dugan pleaded guilty to the murder of Nicarico after having previously confessed to the crime. Dugan is jailed on two unrelated murder charges, one of a 27-year old woman and one which began with the abduction of two seven-year old girls, one of whom escaped and the other of whom was raped and murdered by Dugan. On November 11, 2009, after deliberating about 10 hours over two days, a DuPage County jury sentenced Brian Dugan to death for the rape and murder of Jeanine Nicarico 26 years earlier.
Nicarico was born July 7, 1972 in Naperville, Illinois. She was kidnapped, raped, sodomized, and murdered on February 25, 1983 when her home was burglarized on a day in which she had stayed home from school due to illness. Her body was found two days later along Prairie Path near Eola Rd.[1] Her mom, Pat, an elementary school secretary, spoke with her on the telephone in the early afternoon. Nicarico was kidnapped during the commission of a burglary at her home. Her dad was at work and her sisters were at school.
Dugan was a serial killer. Apparently serial killers have a penchant for blue AMC Gremlins.

I remember that like it was yesterday. It was a déjà vu of 1977. I also remember our small town school district not even addressing it. I was livid at their choice to proceed with eyes shut and I wasn’t even a parent yet.
I was told by a friend whose parent worked in the B’ham district at the time that their strict marching orders were to “not discuss this issue” AT ALL. That is criminal, if you ask me. How many kids did they further damage with this policy? If your parent dies of breast cancer, or your dad leaves because he has an affair with his secretary, we can discuss that–but if some kid gets snatched off the streets, raped for days and then murdered and dumped on a roadside–mum’s the word???? Seriously?!

He does resemble one of the sketches rendered during that time, though not the one associated with the Gremlin. But, the sketch he resembles also looks like a real killer overseas that was known for killing the children he babysitter. A real babysitter killer so to speak.
It was mentioned that he claimed to have been molested by Gacy, but that was dismissed due to MO. And, his MO doesn’t match that of the Oakland killer. However, it doesn’t mean he wouldn’t run with a crowd like that.
He looks sweet and innocent-Dugan that is. A sweet little person no one would suspect by looks. Mostly Illinois, but, still north and if he was into drugs and depending on occupation he may have traveled.

I read the UK link. The article states that psychopaths may not be “evil”, that instead they need “treatment” to teach them how to feel emotions. Right. The article goes on to speculate that maybe these people shouldn’t be executed for doing something “wrong”. I heartily disagree. We cannot as a society AFFORD to keep these miscreants alive for decades in prison. The fact is that they have INTELLECTUAL capability. Therefore they must acknowledge that they knew what the LAW states. And they disobeyed it anyway and killed. For this reason they must be eliminated through execution.That’s all there is to it.

Are you saying Brian Dugan was never investigated in the Oakland County child killings?
Also, skipping around a bit, it seems plausible to me someone in law enforcement did away with Chris Busch. It must have angered some that Busch would seemingly never be held accountable for his pedophilia because his father had such deep pockets. If someone who was otherwise an upstanding citizen killed Busch out of disgust and a desire to protect children, it would explain the desire to make it appear a suicide.
