Sick people out there!
Cathy, my sister in law follows your blogs/posts on Oakland Child Killer.
I’m an attorney in Michigan and have always been interested in the unsolved cases and the theories that have been brought forth.
When I worked in Oakland County Circuit Court I had met an attorney who was the father of a child that was murdered.
I would really like to discuss with you your research/involvement.

“The detective was punished but is still on the job – working out of the Brighton Post. He has been with the department for about 27 years.”

Just this morning in the Washington Post–Hundreds of law enforcement officers have been accused of sexually abusing children over the past two decades, a Post investigation found; https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/interactive/2024/new-orleans-police-child-sexual-abuse-rodney-vicknair/?itid=hp-top-table-main_p001_f001 (How, a mother wondered, do you report the police to the police?). I will post separately on this article.
How, indeed do you report the police to the police? We all know how this works.
The MSP detective still on the job–spokesman says he was “disciplined.” Fuck you, pal–you should be shitcanned and if the world was fair, instead of stacked in the cops’ favor, he should lose his pension. And I bet the MSP can withhold his personnel file under Michigan’s pathetic FOIA laws. The new-ish colonel at the MSP is shaking things up with firings at the higher levels? (“Four top Mich. State Police officers to be removed.” Detroit Free Press, March 10, 2024). Clean up your agency. And why hasn’t this story been covered by the Detroit area newspapers? The Royal Oak Tribune has some balls, unlike its bigger competitors–this story deserves some press.
Wow, great article.
– Over 1,800 officers charged with crimes involving child sexual abuse from 2005-2022
– 13 to 15 year-old girls are the children most often targeted by officers
His discipline was one day suspension!
This wasn’t this officers first rodeo.
I’ve received many calls/emails from women that this officer sent cell phone pictures of his naked body!
Amazing how the department
“Catch and Kills” complaints against their brother officers.

Bill, I just heard from a reader: “Waiting for other victims to come forward, and more from the MSP, charged with the mishandling of reports.” Officers have a default setting that causes them to protect their own more than victims and society. In this case, it is not only “catch and kill,” it is “catch and release” with a predator who was so confident he would be protected that he has been pulling this stuff (and probably worse) for most likely decades.
“Chain of command” becomes their mantra/cover up for being cowards when they enable these predators.
Well said!
People, Keep in mind , in Michigan, many in law enforcement make between $100,000 and $200, 000 a year , plus state benefits. I have met 911 operators that made that much.
Sad to say “your tax dollars at work”
Unfortunately, our tax dollars at work harassing women
What would happen if a woman was e mailing nudes to the detective ? !
My bet is that we will hear little or nothing in the Michigan news about this. Wonder what MSP would do if an average man acted like this ?
Rest assure you will hear more
loud and clear on this issue.
Promise!
So 4 others have come forward with a similar story. I sure hope more will do the same if he has been doing this for 4 years, and seems to be getting better at it. Isn’t that how they describe a serial killer? They are getting better at what they do.
And now the legislature wants to play also. Senator Jim Runestad is pushing for legislation. It is definitely an election year. Otherwise these guys would be as quiet as the media has. I’m sure these new laws will apply only to the average man and not a government or elected official.

Shockingly, this was on WWJ radio AM 950 in Detroit tonight.
