Hockey Doc, Urologist and Pedophile Zvi Levran sentenced to 10-25 years in Oakland County

The Farmington Hills doctor was accused in October 2022 of molesting multiple young hockey players. He pleaded not guilty in January 2023.

Levran had faced up to life in prison for two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, but prosecutors amended those counts to third-degree criminal sexual conduct. That lowered the maximum possible sentence for those charges from life in prison to 15 years. One count of aggravated child sexually abusive material Levran pleaded to carries a maximum sentence of 25 years.

Repentant?

The survivors are stronger than you, “Dr.” Levran.

Levran pleaded no contest to 28 crimes, including third-degree criminal sexual conduct. A no-contest plea in Michigan is treated as a conviction at sentencing and he will be eligible for parole after 10 years in custody.

Too bad the 68-year-old former urologist was not a Michigan priest. At his age he would have probably gotten a year in prison.
