I agree with a reader who sent me this link and said parents need to be on high alert and trust no one when it comes to their kids. Martin Waskowski, a 38-year-old fourth grade teacher in Macomb County (Pleasantview Elementary School in Eastpointe), was arrested last week when crossing the Canadian border with child sexual abuse material (CSAM). He lives in Royal Oak which is in Oakland County.
Waskowski was tagged when a border crossing alert showed a link to a suspected attempted sexual enticement of a child incident involving him. At secondary inspection his cellphone showed evidence of CSAM.
A preliminary review of one of the hard drives confiscated in a court-ordered search of his Michigan home revealed more than 12,000 files that appear to be child pornography [CSAM], according to the AUSA prosecuting the case.
The presiding magistrate judge agreed to release him into the custody of his father who also lives in Royal Oak. Waskowski must wear a GPS ankle monitoring device and steer clear of minors. Sure, that always works.
A separate preliminary hearing for is scheduled for December 23, 2025, in Vermont, where the alleged border incident occurred.
And from another reader, here is 25-year-old Alex Buley-Neumar, a Michigander who (allegedly) stalked a minor online and then drove over an hour to pelt her family home with Molotov cocktails. Neighbors helped extinguish the flames before the house ignited.
Stalking and bullying a minor online, then escalating it to traveling to the family home of the minor and throwing Molotov cocktails? Is an (alleged) POS like this even redeemable? Twenty-five years old? Tell me this guy will rise above being this fucked up and I will never believe it.
His bond was set for $1 million and thank god it doesn’t appear he was released to his father.

I am not good at math, but I think Michigan to Vermont then into that part of Canada has to be at least 1, 500 miles. A lot could happen to that tether.
