IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE OAKLAND COUNTY CHILD KILLINGS, POSSIBLE COVER UPS IN THIS INVESTIGATION, OR CRIMES THAT COULD BE RELATED, CALL THE MICHIGAN STATE POLICE TIP LINE AT 833-784-9425. The name or information you provide could help more than you know.
As a recap, this investigation started with the January 2005 arrest of Richard Lawson for the 1989 murder of a Livonia resident. He told police he knew who “did the Michigan Snow Killings,” and gave police the name of Ted Lamborgine.
To the immense credit of Det./Sgt. Cory Williams and Wayne County, the investigation that ensued resulted in the prosecution of both Lawson and Lamborgine for criminal sexual conduct with minors. The investigation also unearthed a dark, evil network of pedophiles and child pornographers operating in Detroit, the suburbs and other parts of Michigan.
It took tremendous courage for the victims of Lawson and Lamborgine to talk to police and to testify against these two animals. I don’t think anyone can really understand how much this must re-traumatize a person and resurrect pain in exponential degrees. Their courage is an immense contrast to that of the worthless pieces of shit detailed in these pages.
Keep in mind that Lawson and Lamborgine both fled the state of Michigan after their crimes, thereby tolling the statute of limitations for these sex crimes. The other monsters in these pages rode out the clock and in most cases evaded any responsibility for what they did. If the Universe was fair, the den mother for the pedophiles and her sister would have been charged with child trafficking and many, many others would have been charged with CSCs against minors and child pornography. On the up side, both Lawson and Lamborgine were sent to prison for their crimes and Lawson died in prison.
So many hidden issues and invisible scars in these pages. So many questions. The biggest question of all is who was protecting kids in Michigan during this era? Who is protecting them now? Shame on Michigan for protecting predators and not victims. This story in Wayne County is the only attempt at some sort of justice I have come across.
