This legislation was enacted after former Michigan State University gymnastics coach Kathie Klages’ 2020 conviction for LYING to police about Larry Nassar’s history of sexual crimes was later overturned by the Michigan Court of Appeals last December. Way to respond to the enabler’s use of failure of recollection and blaming the victims so that the guardrails are more clear for these people.
