  1. Hello, Thanks for sharing my show! I am sorry you all are and have been going through this for so long. Sounds like it could have been solved a long time ago. I thought it was interesting how their are overlaps with the Delphi case of Abby and Libby. The child predator epidemic is real. Is there any way those case files are available to look at?

    1. Hi Gray, all of the FOIA documents we have obtained are on my blog. They are, of course, the tip of the iceberg. These include over 3,000 pages from the Michigan State Police files, some files provided by the office of the Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper, files from her successor Karen McDonald (what was left after Cooper destroyed documents), the MSP file on Frank Shelden and a partial FOIA response by the FBI on Shelden. I can add links to the blog posts if you want. It’s a lot of reading.

  2. I think this guy meant well putting this together but he needs to get his facts straight. While it may bring some exposure to the case, I would much rather see the local Detroit television stations get more involved. Every 5 years or so they have a small story about the OCCK case but its not enough. They can do so much more!

    1. The local press fell for the L. Brooks Patterson/Richard Thompson/Michigan State Police narrative, almost immediately lost their footing in this case and never recovered. As another reader pointed out to me today, these atypical, serial child murder cases they are so shocking and horrific–kids abducted while doing routine activities in “nice” communities, held for days and then murdered and dumped in the open–that the failure of the communities and the press to demand answers is almost inexplicable. The silence of police and prosecutors is likewise inexplicable. That there is no dedicated investigator, no viable tip line demonstrates the lack of resolve to ever find answers in this case. The Detroit-area press–confounding.

  3. That was the worst show!! The guy was a moron & mixed up the whole thing!! He wasn’t even organized & barely could read coherently & he creeped me out!!

    1. Are the critical comments referring to the Gray Hughes YouTube show from April 2, 2023? They sound as though they are. If so I respectfully beg to differ. Mr. Hughes is well regarded in the YouTube true crime community because he is so thorough and presents facts, not unfounded speculation. I myself have been a member of his channel for more than three years, with others having more time in, and appreciate his shows, presented every night of the year. 107,000 other subscribers must have been interested enough in his research to subscribe to his channel.
Mr. Hughes does extensive research on his shows and in cases such as these, he pulls the newspapers of the day and presents them to his viewers in the order in which each investigation progressed. That enables his viewers to follow the progression of the investigation, whether the police solidified the facts surrounding the violent acts, when theories were presented and discarded, or when the cases stalled. That enables us to gather the information as though we lived at that time and were learning about each case as the public did. Granted, he may be unable to know everything about the crimes as compared with people who’ve researched cases such as this for years, but he’s putting the cold cases out there to bring attention to them and perhaps enable more facts to be brought forth. He may present unpopular views of cases, but I submit that even within this case’s long-term community, people support different arguments.
For the record, I an not related to Mr. Hughes, a personal friend or acquaintance, or even one of his channel’s moderators. I just know the quality of his work from watching for as long as I have. Is he right on everything? No, but few are. I just know that he’s much more fact-driven than similar shows on YouTube, and if you dislike his delivery or personality as some do, the care with which he presents each case should not be disputed.

      1. There have always been these so called ‘experts’ that come and poke around the OCCK subject a bit and really think they accomplished something. I call them dime store analyst as there have been so many. It’s been going on that way for years now. It’s great the exposure side of it I guess but many times than not, it really doesn’t help the case and more times than any feeds misinformation. I myself could care less about the popularity of a YouTube channel. Seen plenty of that gossip stuff thru the years and some of you know exactly what I’m talking about.

  4. Where’s Andy Berthiaume’s OCCK podcast series that was suppose to come out? Anyone ever hear back from him? There is someone that really did dig and research this case and made some key contacts. I sure hope he did not get discouraged from some people out there with strong opinions which is what I suspect did happen.
