At least one myth is now exposed as such; buried in my memory is the tale that Tim’s body had been posed, that he was clutching his skateboard and his football. I don’t remember exactly where I heard that–it may well have literally been from another kid on a playground–but there is no mention of a football and the skateboard was apparently found/left a dozen feet away.
Again, there is so much myth about this case–so many misconceptions, yet so little is known. It’s a shame that it’s up to the families to set the record straight.
