“He did hide his dark side very well.”

Listen to Episode 6 of The Clown and the Candyman, about a 10-day surveillance police conducted on John Wayne Gacy, leading to his arrest in 1978. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-clown-and-the-candyman/id1540131474.

Of course the monster has a “heart attack” right after the arrest. Have you ever noticed so many monsters have “heart conditions”? Seems to come up in other settings, such as “I can’t take a polygraph, I have a heart condition.”

Gacy was convicted of sodomy of a teenage boy in Iowa in 1968. Sentenced to 10 years for this crime, he served only 18 months. No big deal, I guess. At least 30 of his 33 murders occurred after his divorce from his second wife in 1976. He had two children. So don’t ever use the “but he was married with kids” bullshit with me.

He died by lethal injection on May 10, 1994.
