I maintain that the “Oh Fuck” Zone not only destroyed and damaged innocent people, but it protected monsters, certain agencies, and is the reason other seemingly unrelated crimes went unsolved and victims of child sexual abuse, trafficking and rape were ignored. The protection of monsters and certain agencies came at extreme societal cost.

We know that Greene was arrested first as a result of complaints by a school principal, which precipitated investigation of Greene’s involvement with kids baseball team and all the boys he met and abused on the team and through the team. This results in 3 ‘specimen’ charges.
Then Greene names Chris Busch as the killer of Mark Stebbins, but polygraphs supposedly clear both Busch and Greene. Tom Waldron pursues alternative route to getting Busch locked up, interviews Greene again, Greene talks about Ken Bowman, as a victim he and Chris Busch abused together.
Greene also names the Busch nephews and Vince Gunnels as victims of Chris Busch, but doesn’t confess his own abuse of them. Busch will ultimately be arrested for abusing Bowman, but not for the others until after Gunnel’s father independently files charges against him.
Waldron searches Busch Alma home, finds all that incriminating stuff, including commercial child sexual abuse images products, and 8 reels of amateur looking (homemade) film depicting boys abused in a tent.
One of Greg Greene’s baseball related victims, also names Douglas Bennett as an abuser, and probably the mysterious “fourth” perp. This victim has multiple abusrrs, not because Greene, Busch, Bennet and whomever “passed him around”, but beccause he was involved in “hitch-hiking”.
“Hitch-hiking”, as a euphemism for juvenile prostitution (Hoping to be “picked up”, by a man who will trade sex acts for money, goods, entertainments, etc.) shows up in both perpetrator and victim statements, from several Michigan areas but is never explicitly ‘decoded’ as such in the reports you’ve shared with us from that era. It’s not hard to deduce it, however, even from statements by Kenny Bowman and the ‘hitch-hiking’ companion he was with, when Greene picked them up together. Bowman’s friend had been picked up by Greene before, this was Ken’s first encounter. These boys were not “going somewhere”, and needed a ride.
But Richard Lawson is completely explicit about the hitch-hiking & boy prostitute connection, when he explained his “pedophile investigations” technique. Which consisted solely of picking up “hitch-hiking” boys on certain roadways, asking them for sex, paying them, then offering them more money if they would discuss “the other men” who picked them up; their names, the vehicle they drove, where the men took them, did they meet any other men there, what took place, etc.
In the process, Lawson revealed that – outside of his personal circle of boy-abusing buddies (Lamborgine, Duffy, Moore, a few others), Lawson only knew – what the boy prostitutes knew! What was unknown to them, remained unknown to Lawson as well.
That’s why, Lawson never said anything to anyone about Francis Shelden supposedly being involved in OCCK, until 1988. In 1988, AFTER Gerald Richards was busted the second time and returned to prison. And then, directly or indirectly, Lawson obtained information about Shelden and his contacts in Amsterdam, from RICHARDS. The boy prostitutes didn’t know anything about Francis Shelden and the commercial CP producer-distributors in Europe, in 1976-79, so neither did Lawson.
